Terms of service and Consent Information
Confidentiality: Typically, the infomration you share will remain confidential. Howevere there are some limits to this you need to be aware of:
If I am concerned about any risk of harm to you or others, I may need to disclose this to a third party. An effort would be made to talk to you about this in the first instance.
I may discuss your case with my supervisor/s. Supervisors are bound by the same confidentiality and limits to confidentiality outlined in this document.
If appropriate, a letter or report can be written for your GP, outlining the outcome of your engagement.
If your sessions are funded by Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), your information will be collated and submitted in reports to them. You will have the right to see these reports if you wish.
If your sessions are funded by the Canterbury Initiative’s Transgender Care Package, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire at both your first and final session. The outcome is shared with the Te Whatu Ora/Health NZ, who fund the sessions. Your GP will also be updated with how many sessions you attended and a brief outline of what the sessions covered.
Information Storage: Care will be taken to store your information using secure cloud based services.
Clinical Psychologists are required to retain client records for 10 years, after which time your records will be destroyed.
Where appropriate, the programme Heidi Health is used for administration purposes. This is a secure, cloud-based clinical platform that includes artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support administrative and clinical documentation processes. This includes summarising sessions and generating clinical notes. All outputs are reviewed and confirmed by your clinician. Heidi Health complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. All data is encrypted and securely stored in data centres that meet New Zealand health data requirements.
Therapy Fees:
Initial consultation appointments cost $350 (GST inclusive). This is a 90-minute appointment. The fee covers a brief assessment with a view to developing a treatment plan.
Follow up treatment Sessions are $210 (GST inclusive). These are 50-minute appointments.
A discount of 10% is available for clients who are eligible for WINZ funding.
Fees are invoiced prior to the appointment and are due the day of the appointment
Assessment Fees: Assessments are priced as a package for $1850.00 (GST inclusive). This fee covers:
Assessment Interview sessions (typically at least two 80-minute appointments)
Collection and interpretation of collateral information
Relevant psychometric testing
Completion of a psychological report.
NOTE: If a formal diagnosis is not deemed appropriate, a full psychological report is unlikely to be necessary. In these instances, the package fee is discounted by 40%, as you will not be charged for report writing time and associated administrative costs.
Cancellation Fees: 50% of the cost of your appointment if cancellation occurs with less than 24-hours’ notice of your appointment.
